I have a PhD in Nutrition Science and have spent most of my research studying intermittent fasting and time-restricted eating in humans, more specifically their effects on metabolic health and longevity. My work has included studies in older adults examining outcomes such as , inflammation, oxidative stress, sleep, cognition, and continuous glucose monitoring.
I am especially interested in generating new ideas rather than only asking whether an intervention works. I developed the Fasting-Derived Longevity Model (FDLM) and the Endocrine Regulation Model (ERM) to explore how fasting duration, insulin and IGF-1 signaling, circadian biology, nutrient-sensing pathways, and autophagy may contribute to long-term health and longevity.
I have authored or co-authored 13 peer-reviewed papers, including seven as first author, and served as Principal Investigator on a time-restricted eating and continuous glucose monitoring project. My long-term goal is to build an independent research program focused on daily fasting, metabolic disease prevention, and healthy longevity.
