Writing a book project on how ideas about the future have changed in the past, documenting how various individuals and groups have responded to expanding insight with new ethical arguments and positions. A history of changing proposals concerning what might be the biggest-picture priorities facing our species and life more broadly.
What are this project's goals? How will you achieve them?
The goal is to assess how humans conjure visions and predictions about the further future, in order to gain insights on how this has changed in the past, may currently be going wrong in the present, and will inevitably transform again as more is learnt. If there is a structure to scientific revolutions, might there be a structure to moral ones?
How will this funding be used?
To support full-time writing.

The team is me. My track record is strong: I have already written, published, and promoted several book projects.
What are the most likely causes and outcomes if this project fails?
The most likely failure would be if the book isn't read by relevant audiences.
