It is nice to see real humans involved in this project. The chorus of the song is very catchy.
You're pledging to donate if the project hits its minimum goal and gets approved. If not, your funds will be returned.
We want to create a short documentary and music video featuring the song 'PaperClip Apocalypse' that we wrote and recorded in November 2025 for the Keep The Future Human Contest. https://www.theexplorationhub.com/creativecontest
The projects goal is to bring the publics attention to the dangers of AGI and encourage the public to investigate their relationship, personal values and ethics in relation to the rapidly evolving AI technology. Similar to the way the song and music video from the 80's "We are the World" focused the worlds attention to the starving children in Africa, we intend to use our song (hopefully with help from some A-Listers) to help the general public become aware of what is going on with AI development and Big Tech. We aim to expose the truth behind the push for rapid AGI development and encourage humanity to call for regulations and guardrails to be put in place. If we all play a small part in protecting humanity by using our minds for critical thinking rather than letting machines do all the work for us, we can help to Keep the Future (imperfectly) Human. https://keepthefuturehuman.ai/contest/
The funding will be used to further develop the song, to pay the performing artists and musicians, to make an official music video and to write and create a short Documentary about the making of the project. Also some will be used for the marketing of the final product.
Our team is a collective of Professional musicians, theatre artists, sound engineers and voice over professionals along with a supportive group AI Safety enthusiasts and tech industry experts. Here is a link to the demo prototype that we created for the contest - https://www.theexplorationhub.com/creativecontest
The longer the public is in the dark about AGI , the more unregulated development in technology and environmental damage will occur. If this project fails, the arts community will continue to be ignored and devalued and eventually AI (by replacing artistic process, authentic storytelling and human connection) will destroy our arts, culture and eventually our humanity.
We were awarded a mini grant of $500 dollars from the Keep The Future Human Contest to spend on marketing.
