Developing blockchain software to fund scientific projects with micropayments.
Goals:
Publication of every scientific project (especially basic science, because applied science can fund itself) must be funded.
Scientists (whether or not they have a PhD) should receive a worthy salary based on quantity and quality of their research.
The same applies also to financing free software (especially, software components, because they tend to be under-financed but important).
Way to archive:
Development of blockchain software (based on cost-effective DFINITY Internet Computer blockchain) for cross-verified database of inter-dependencies of scientific publications and software will allow to allocate a part of every donation not only to the funded project itself but also to its dependencies (usually, cited publications or software libraries).
An obligatory affiliate program will ensure that publication of every piece of science is funded, to avoid "stalled" publication, when development of a part of science is blocked by a too bad publication of its basics.
Up to $15000 for Victor Porton's personal software development salary. A little will be used to pay for Internet Computer Web hosting. The rest will be used to spread the word and/or directly added to scientist's grants fund.
Currently, the team consists of one man, Victor Porton.
Victor Porton is the developer of NacDB (that will be used as a part of this project), a distributed database on Internet Computer, and also has track record in developing Web sites, specifically participation in developing the GitCoin enterprise site.
Victor Porton also is an experienced blockchain developer and developed award-winning software for different blockchains.
if Victor Porton gets a severe disease
if "big guys" like GitCoin won't express interest after the release and we would have lack of publicity
I am going to get funding using GitCoin Grants.
