I am a distinguished veterinary researcher and the founder of the **Somali Animal Welfare Society (SAWS)**. I have made significant contributions to animal welfare, public health, and sustainable development in Somalia. In addition to my foundational role at SAWS, I serve as an ambassador for **World Animal Day**, promoting global awareness and action for animal rights. I also represent Somalia as a delegate for the **International Organization for Animal Protection (OIPA)**, advocating for animal welfare on an international platform.
My research and advocacy work focus on zoonotic diseases, such as brucellosis, and the integration of animal welfare into sustainable development strategies. I am affiliated with the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Benadir University in Somalia and the Department of Medicine at Bangladesh Agricultural University. My academic background, combined with my leadership roles, has positioned me as a leading figure in advancing animal welfare and public health in Somalia and beyond.
