Grant from ACX Grants 2025
Impactful Giving is an Indian effective giving initiative that helps high-net-worth donors direct more funding to highly cost-effective charities. Based on donors' priorities, we help them build a curated portfolio of opportunities across global health, development, animal welfare, climate and other neglected problem areas.

Description of the projects
We are raising funding to accelerate two core pieces of work:
India Animal Welfare Funding Circle
We are launching India’s first Animal Welfare Funding Circle, made up of 6-7 donors who are prepared to contribute over $1 million in FY2026-2027 if the opportunities are strong. We need to fund a research role to complete evaluations, identify top animal welfare programs in our applicant pool using priority research from Animal Ask, and recommendations briefs for donors.
Advisory & donor outreach
Build the organisational foundation needed to do more bespoke research for HNW Advisory and run additional funding circles beyond animal welfare, including thematic circles in climate and health
Strengthen relationships and outreach to wealth managers, who are a highly leveraged distribution channel for engaging affluent and HNW donors.
Organise targeted in-person events to build a donor community and raise funding for specific high-impact charities.
Impactful Giving was incubated through the Effective Giving Incubation Program run by Giving What We Can and Charity Entrepreneurship
We have experience across effective altruism, non-profits, policy, private equity, VC and India-focused philanthropy
We operate a donation platform, have secured partnerships with wealth advisory firms and philanthropic foundations, and have been running the advisory model backed by strong early traction
We have already secured commitments from family foundations and HNWIs to participate in the India animal welfare funding circle
If we are not funded, we would need to rely on volunteers and ad-hoc bootstrapping to support the India Animal Welfare Funding Circle. This risks producing weaker recommendations and eroding trust with the participating donors. Without dedicated research capacity, we may miss the highest-impact opportunities in India and be less rigorous in our evaluations.
It would also stretch our team thin, reducing our ability to conduct HNW outreach, support wealth managers, and plan future funding circles in climate and health.
