Humanity Tomorrow (https://humanitytomorrow.site/) is a web project aimed at explaining AI risks and creating materials on this topic that are accessible to beginners. The project is available in three languages: English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
The site already features the first version of an FAQ on AI risks, which includes 25 questions and counterarguments, as well as a section on possible actions. These materials are intended for people who are new to AI safety or who are skeptical of the arguments regarding AI risks.
The goal of the project is to create a unified knowledge base that newcomers can access. Currently, knowledge about AI safety is scattered across various sources, and there is still no single starting point for people asking, “Why would AI even want to kill us all?” Additional goals include creating an AI Risks & Mitigations Map, featuring an interactive search structure: risk → cause → threat mechanism → possible solutions or project ideas.
These goals will be achieved by continuing to develop the project and promoting it through existing and additional information channels. For example, I already have a Ukrainian-language YouTube channel dedicated to AI safety, with over 3,700 subscribers and a most-viewed video reaching 75,000 views, where I can promote Humanity Tomorrow. Funding will be used for:
$1,500–$5,000 — Project development: my time spent researching AI risks and mitigation strategies, creating a taxonomy and map, writing explanations, verifying sources, and regularly updating and refining the existing FAQ.
$500–$800 — Website and technical implementation: hosting, web services, development tools (AI subscriptions).
$400–$700 — Editing, external expert review, and usability and readability testing.
$300–$500 — Distribution and promotion of the resource.
I am building this website entirely on my own, using my own money and my free time outside of work. I have been running a YouTube channel on AI safety for over a year and a half, and I have also been maintaining the MVP version of the Humanity Tomorrow website for the past six months, having developed the site and written all the articles myself.
One potential risk is that the information may not be sufficiently accurate or up-to-date due to a lack of external expertise (especially in the areas of biosafety, cybersecurity, or law). If I do not receive the necessary funding, I will also be unable to devote enough time to keeping the website up-to-date: AI is evolving very rapidly, and recently published content quickly becomes outdated. I’m also concerned that the project, in its current form, may not generate enough action after readers finish reading, but I’m confident this can be addressed.
The project has not previously received any funding.
